Jeff Strachan,

joined the Dubai College of Tourism, a unique initiative from Dubai Tourism, to enhance the tourism proposition through a number of grass-roots human capital enablement initiatives.

Prior to this, Jeff had a sixteen-year career with Marriott International, where he was Vice President, Sales and Marketing, Middle East and Africa, responsible for then portfolio of 41 hotels. From 2005, Jeff was integral in opening more than 18 hotels across Middle East and Africa.

In 2013 Jeff became the owner of Cambodia-based boutique hotel, Maison557, and a founding shareholder in Ayana Journeys, an ethical and responsible tour operator, also based in Cambodia.

A Graduate from West of Scotland College and University of Liverpool, Jeff worked in Spain, London and Manchester before relocating to Dubai in 2000. Jeff has written in published future looking research for Phocuswright and the oft-cited Future of Travel in the GCC report (2014) commissioned for Amadeus.

Lucy Mousa

Has worked in the travel and hospitality industry for over 15 years, and has a breadth of experience with international hotel chains like Marriott, IHG and Hilton, serving in a variety of roles; from front office and guest relations, to global reservations and sales. In 2017, she launched her solo career, heading the franchised Dubai-based travel company, Travel Counsellors, which operates with over 1,500 counsellors in over 7 countries worldwide.

Akvile Pareigyte 

has over 15 years of experience in digital marketing. Former Head of Global Digital Marketing at Jumeirah Group and Digital Marketing Lecturer at the Digital Marketing Institute Middle East, Akvile now heads digital consultancy at a digital-first agency VOLT LAB.

Akvile is actively engaged in the digital education field globally and is also a member of Google’s Digital Academy in the UK. She is Google’s Regional Trainer, Digital Facilitator at Dubai College of Tourism, PWC Digital Academy and The Emirates Academy of Hospitality Management. Akvile’s innate ability to maximize the web’s full potential has resulted in her being a sought after speaker, instructor and digital award judge.

has over 25 years of national and international experience in the retail industry, working in management and consulting roles in a variety of key areas including: retail operations, business planning, marketing strategy and execution, cost optimization and team management.

He has worked with a wide range of retailers from major department stores to those operating in perfumery, electrical equipment, and pharmaceuticals.

Marta Dolinksa-Mart 

is an entrepreneur at heart with a strong international sales background working in the hospitality industry at companies like Hyatt and Marriott. She is now an instructor at Dubai College of Tourism she shares her hospitality experience with students.
