Welcome to Dubai College of Tourism

DCT is the first tourism-based vocational college in Dubai. Our mission is to help create a labour force of energetic, well-trained professionals prepared to welcome the more than 23 million tourists expected to visit Dubai a year by 2025. We will strive every day to provide you with an exceptional learning experience and create lifelong opportunities for you which will enable us to become the premier vocational training college in Dubai and the MENA.

We believe students are drawn to the tourism and hospitality industry because of their exceptional drive to make other people's comfort, enjoyment, and happiness their business. Our goal is to provide you with a deeply rewarding and truly remarkable vocational-based education that combines classroom theory with hands-on “real world” experiences while challenging you to attain your full potential.

Our college brings together a dynamic industry advisory board comprised of industry professionals with expertise spanning across our five faculties - Tourism, Events, Retail, Hospitality and Culinary Arts. We are truly energized by our industry partners, and grateful for their support of our programmes and their true spirit of commitment to the future of the tourism and hospitality industry in Dubai.

We recognise that our responsibility extends beyond the bricks and mortar of our classrooms and learning laboratories. It encompasses the overall quality of your learning experience, requiring the constant updating of our courses to ensure they are current and relevant in an ever-changing tourism and hospitality industry. To this end, it is also our working internships – mandatory with every course – and the strong focus on practical learning that sets DCT students apart and prepares students for their future careers.

As a student-centered institution DCT is focused on meeting the needs of our students. Our vocational education and values are designed to prepare students for real outcomes, specifically job opportunities and career potential upon course completion. This means that our students are taught to apply the skills required to excel in their future careers.

DCT proudly offers working internships with every course, while industry guest lectures, site visits, workshops and other experiential learning is also a feature. As an initiative of the Dubai government, DCT has unparalleled connections to the industry. With access to so many industry professionals, our students are very close to their potential future employers.

The ultimate goal therefore is that because of the government’s confidence in it’s own entity, students graduate with job security and career opportunity. DCT’s instructors and staff are industry professionals with invaluable insight and experience, and a genuine interest in the future success of their students.

Dubai is a fascinating city with a unique and proud identity. It is home to people of over 200 different nationalities and is both a fast-moving, powerful business center, and a relaxed tourist destination. It’s a place where old world charm meets new world ambition and innovation.

This is in part because, geographically, it is perfectly positioned as a gateway to the east and the west, making it easy to travel too, and travel from. It’s a great base, and a convenient stop off.

Dubai is also one of the fastest growing cities in the world, with the goal to become the most visited city in the world by 2025. As a result, Dubai is educating many students for a career in tourism.

Dubai is a melting pot of cultures and influences, and as a student you couldn’t wish for a better combination. You are constantly meeting other students from all walks of life, and learning and growing as a result.

The DCT Cafe is an open environment for students to work in teams on projects and class assignments, and enjoy their free time in between their classes. Our lecture-style and traditional classrooms facilitate to group interactions and hands-on active learning. The college has been set up to adhere to the highest international standards and to fully utilize the benefits of technology including a new e-Library accessible to all students.
